The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs basketball squad (Monroe, IA), was crushed 64-42 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA)

With the victory, Nevada advances its record to 7-0 on the year. The Cubs travel to Perry (Perry, IA) to meet the Bluejays in a Heart of Iowa - Large battle on Friday, January 3. The Bluejays enter the battle with a record of 5-2. Perry lost 83-78 in their recent non-league battle against Boone (Boone, IA)
