In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting River Ridge Royal Knights basketball team scored a big 70-33 triumph over the Tarpon Springs Spongers.

The Royal Knights (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Rogers Heritage (Rogers, AR). The War Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Rogers Heritage was crushed by Greenwood (Greenwood, AR), 54-46, in a non-league battle.

The Spongers now own a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Steinbrenner for a non-league battle on Friday, January 3. Tarpon Springs will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 71-56 non-league win over Woodward (Toledo, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 3-10.
