December 20, 2024: Jefferson Hills, PA 15025 The South Fayette Lions (McDonald, PA) basketball were winner over the host Thomas Jefferson Jaguars (Jefferson Hills, PA), 71-61 in Friday's league bout.
The Lions now possess a 6-0 record. They play next when they host Moon Area for a non-league bout on Sunday, December 22. South Fayette will play a Tigers team coming off a 60-44 league loss to Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-2.
With the loss, Thomas Jefferson falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Bethel Park (Bethel Park, PA) to play the Black Hawks in a WPIAL 5A 3 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Black Hawks go into the bout with a record of 3-4.
