December 20, 2024: Sunray, TX 79086 West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Sunray Bobcats (Sunray, TX), 51-28 in a league match.
With the victory, West Texas advances its record to 11-2 on the year. The Comanches host Borger (Borger, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, December 28. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 2-10. Borger lost 64-48 in their recent league match against Dumas (Dumas, TX)
The Bobcats now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sanford-Fritch for a 2A Region I District 1 challenge on Friday, January 3. Sunray will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 86-42 non-league loss to River Road (Amarillo, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 1-6.
