Texas High School Basketball - Chisum bested by Mount Vernon
December 20, 2024: Paris, TX 75462 Mount Vernon Tigers (Mount Vernon, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Chisum Mustangs (Paris, TX), 72-56 in a league match.
With the victory, Mount Vernon advances its record to 10-6 on the year. The Tigers host Cooper (Cooper, TX) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Monday, December 30. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 9-10.
The Mustangs now own a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Community for a non-league match on Thursday, December 26. Chisum will meet a Braves squad coming off a 43-12 non-league win over Adamson (Dallas, TX). The Braves record now stands at 13-3.
