December 20, 2024: Cranston, RI 02910 Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI), 30-13 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Pilgrim upgrades its record to 3-0 on the year. The Patriots travel to East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI) to face the Avengers in a non-league match on Friday, December 27. The Avengers enter the match with a record of 1-1. East Greenwich lost 45-38 in their recent league match against Rogers (Newport, RI)
The Thunderbolts now sport a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Narragansett for a Division 2 match on Monday, December 23. Cranston East will face a Mariners squad coming off a 54-18 league win over Johnston (Johnston, RI). The Mariners record now stands at 3-1.
