December 20, 2024: Pierre, SD 57501 In Friday's league test, the Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD) basketball squad trounced the visiting Sturgis Brown Scoopers (Sturgis, SD), by a final score of 65-36.
Next, the Governors clash with the Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) in a AA test, on Saturday, December 21. Pierre T.F. Riggs will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 64-43 non-league win over Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD).
The Scoopers (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Aberdeen Central (Aberdeen, SD). The Golden Eagles come into the AA test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Aberdeen Central was overwhelmed by Stevens (Rapid City, SD), 67-41, in a league test.
