Connecticut High School Ice Hockey - Hand knocks off Newtown
December 20, 2024: Madison, CT 06443 The Hand Tigers ice hockey team scored 5 points and held the visiting Newtown Nighthawks to 2 in the Tigers non-league victory on Friday.
The Tigers now own a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westhill for a non-league bout on Monday, December 23. Hand will play a Vikings team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Hamden (Hamden, CT). The Vikings record now stands at 3-0.
With the defeat, Newtown moves to 0-2 on the season. The Nighthawks host Norwalk (Norwalk, CT) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 21. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
