California High School Basketball - Benicia can't hold off Rodriguez
December 20, 2024: Benicia, CA 94510 Rodriguez Mustangs (Fairfield, CA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Benicia Panthers (Benicia, CA), 71-66 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Rodriguez advances its record to 5-2 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Las Lomas (Walnut Creek, CA) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Knights enter the match with a record of 4-4. Las Lomas won 61-39 in their recent non-league match against River City (West Sacramento, CA)
The Panthers now own a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to De La Salle for a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. Benicia will face a Spartans squad coming off a 42-20 non-league loss to Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-1.
