Texas High School Basketball - Canyon overwhelms Seguin

December 21, 2021: New Braunfels, TX 78130

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) and the visiting Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX), saw Canyon's basketball squad wallop Seguin by a tally of 54-28.

With the victory, Canyon improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Tivy (Kerrville, TX) to confront the Antlers in a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge on Friday, December 31. The Antlers come into the challenge with a record of 6-5.

Next up, the Matadors confront the Hays Hawks (Buda, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 27. Seguin will attempt to improve on its 12-8 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 14-6 record after their 47-43 league loss to San Marcos (San Marcos, TX).
