The Montville Mustangs basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Morris Hills Knights to 53 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roxbury for a non-league contest on Friday, December 23. Montville will battle a Gaels team coming off a 62-50 non-league loss to Chatham (Chatham, NJ). The Gaels record now stands at 0-3.

The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Kittatinny Regional (Newton, NJ). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Kittatinny Regional nudged Morris County Tech (Denville, NJ), 53-29, in a league contest.
