Illinois High School Basketball - Riverton knocked off by Decatur Lutheran
December 21, 2022: Riverton, IL 62561 The Decatur Lutheran Lions basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Riverton Hawks to 41 in the Lions non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Lions now sport a 11-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Pulaski for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 22. Decatur Lutheran will battle a Hilltoppers team coming off a 54-43 non-league loss to Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 3-7.
The Hawks (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Maroa-Forsyth ran past Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL), 54-43, in a non-league contest.
