In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) basketball squad beat the host Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), by a count of 61-49.

The Mustangs (4-5) will now prepare for their outing against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Black Knights go into the non-league outing with a 7-0 record. In their last outing, Robbinsville defeated Andrews (Andrews, NC), 52-43, in a league outing.
