The Tawas Area Braves basketball team (Tawas City, MI), was overwhelmed 66-29 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI)

The Tigers now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Whittemore-Prescott for a North Star battle on Thursday, January 4. Alcona will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 66-23 non-league loss to Ogemaw Heights (West Branch, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-4.
