Ewing Blue Devils (Trenton, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Allentown Redbirds (Allentown, NJ), 61-58 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ewing upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Lenape (Medford, NJ) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 23. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Lenape won 49-39 in their recent league bout against Cherokee (Marlton, NJ)

Next up, the Redbirds play the Freehold Township Patriots (Freehold, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Allentown will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 56-26 non-league loss to Summit (Summit, NJ).
