December 21, 2023: New Ulm, MN 56073 The New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman Jaguars to 56 in the Greyhounds league triumph on Thursday.
The Greyhounds now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sleepy Eye for a A Section 2 contest on Tuesday, January 2. New Ulm Cathedral will battle a Indians team coming off a 79-55 league win over Nicollet (Nicollet, MN). The Indians record now stands at 6-1.
The Jaguars (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Blue Earth (Blue Earth, MN). The Buccaneers enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Blue Earth ran past St. James (St. James, MN), 82-64, in a non-league contest.
