New Jersey High School Basketball - Johnson tipped by New Providence
December 21, 2023: New Providence, NJ 07924 The New Providence Pioneers basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Johnson Crusaders to 38 in the Pioneers league triumph on Thursday.
The Pioneers now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cranford for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 26. New Providence will meet a Cougars team coming off a 68-57 non-league win over South Plainfield (South Plainfield, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 2-2.
The Crusaders (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Manville (Manville, NJ). The Mustangs enter the non-league game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Manville tipped Belvidere (Belvidere, NJ), 70-40, in a league game.
