The Thornton Wildcats basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Kankakee Kays to 49 in the Wildcats league victory on Thursday.

The Wildcats now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crane Medical for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 26. Thornton will battle a Cougars team coming off a 77-43 non-league loss to Curie (Chicago, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 9-3.

The Kays (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Schurz (Chicago, IL). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, Schurz was nudged by Collins (Chicago, IL), 67-38, in a non-league contest.
