In Thursday's non-league match, the host Marion County Red Raiders basketball team scored a tight 59-56 triumph over the Sulligent Blue Devils.

In their next game, the Red Raiders meet the Russellville Golden Tigers (Russellville, AL) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, December 26. Marion County will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record. The Golden Tigers enter the match with a 5-4 record after their 63-49 non-league loss to Northridge (Tuscaloosa, AL).
