The Midland Trail Patriots basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Richwood Lumberjacks to 27 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to PikeView for a non-league contest on Friday, December 22. Midland Trail will meet a Panthers team coming off a 65-64 non-league win over Mercer Christian Academy (Princeton, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 2-2.

The Lumberjacks (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Clay County (Clay, WV). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Clay County was routed by Calvary Baptist Academy (Hurricane, WV), 41-18, in a non-league contest.
