December 21, 2023: Troy, NC 27371 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) and the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), saw Southern Lee's basketball squad wallop Montgomery Central by a tally of 79-44.
With the victory, Southern Lee improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Triton (Erwin, NC) to confront the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 22. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 6-1. Triton won 75-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC)
Next up, the Timberwolves confront the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) in a 3A Mid-Piedmont challenge, on Friday, January 5. Montgomery Central will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record.
