Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Harrisonburg Blue Streaks (Harrisonburg, VA), 40-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Staunton upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Storm host Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA) to play the Bison in a Shenandoah bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Bison come into the bout with a record of 7-1. Buffalo Gap won 66-12 in their recent non-league bout against Mountain View (Quicksburg, VA)

Next up, the Blue Streaks play the Eastern View Cyclones (Culpeper, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Harrisonburg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Cyclones come into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 58-39 non-league loss to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA).
