December 21, 2024: Downingtown, PA 19335 Downingtown West Whippets (Downingtown, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Mount Pleasant Green Knights (Wilmington, DE), 61-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Downingtown West upgrades its record to 6-2 on the year. The Whippets travel to Central York (York, PA) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Friday, December 27. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 5-0. Central York won 72-66 in their recent non-league match against Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia, PA)
The Green Knights now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Caravel for a non-league match on Thursday, January 2. Mount Pleasant will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 46-30 non-league win over Tatnall (Wilmington, DE). The Buccaneers record now stands at 4-2.
