In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Mooresville Pioneers basketball team scored a close 63-58 triumph over the University Trailblazers.

The Pioneers (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Indianapolis Metropolitan (Indianapolis, IN). The Pumas go into the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Indianapolis Metropolitan was tipped by Clay City (Clay City, IN), 56-54, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Trailblazers battle the Evansville North Huskies (Evansville, IN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 27. University will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Huskies go into the contest with a 2-3 record after their 53-43 non-league win over Henderson County (Henderson, KY).
