December 21, 2024: Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107 The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Mountain Valley Falcons (Rumford, ME) and the host Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME), observed Mountain Valley's basketball team overwhelm Cape Elizabeth by a score of 44-22.
The Falcons (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Poland (Poland, ME). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Poland trounced Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME), 72-22, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Capers battle the Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) in a B South challenge, on Friday, December 27. Cape Elizabeth will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 50-27 non-league win over Winslow (Winslow, ME).
