In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Webster Bearcats basketball team scored a close 49-43 triumph over the Ipswich Tigers.

The Bearcats (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Roncalli (Aberdeen, SD). The Cavaliers go into the A Region 1 contest with a 2-1 record.

In their next game, the Tigers confront the Timber Lake Panthers (Timber Lake, SD) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 4. Ipswich will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record.
