Virginia High School Basketball - Staunton River overwhelms James River
December 21, 2024: Buchanan, VA 24066 The Staunton River Golden Eagles basketball team scored 59 points and limited the host James River Knights to 33 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles now have a 9-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lord Botetourt for a Blue Ridge game on Tuesday, January 7.
With the loss, James River falls to 6-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA) to confront the Knights in a non-league game on Monday, December 30. The Knights go into the game with a record of 3-3. Cave Spring lost 58-21 in their recent league game against Salem (Salem, VA)
