January 14, 2025: Moneta, VA 24121 The Northside Vikings basketball squad (Roanoke, VA), was crushed 53-21 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA)
With the victory, Staunton River advances its record to 11-0 on the year. The Golden Eagles travel to William Byrd (Vinton, VA) to meet the Terriers in a Blue Ridge battle on Friday, January 17. The Terriers enter the battle with a record of 4-9. William Byrd lost 42-29 in their recent league battle against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA)
The Vikings now own a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salem for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 15. Northside will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 50-42 league win over Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 10-0.
