The Bellport Clippers basketball team scored 74 points and held the host Centereach Cougars to 73 in the Clippers league triumph on Thursday.

The Clippers now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverhead for a Section 11 AA-2 contest on Tuesday, January 17.

The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lindenhurst (Lindenhurst, NY). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Lindenhurst nudged Walt Whitman (Huntington Station, NY), 64-55, in a league contest.
