New Jersey High School Basketball - East Side overwhelms Central

December 22, 2022: Newark, NJ 07103

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ) and the host Central Blue Devils (Newark, NJ), saw East Side's basketball squad wallop Central by a count of 61-38.

With the win, East Side upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Red Raiders travel to Newark Vocational (Newark, NJ) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 23. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Newark Vocational won 63-18 in their recent non-league bout against Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (Paterson, NJ)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the East Orange Campus Jaguars (East Orange, NJ) in a Super Essex - Liberty bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 60-48 non-league loss to Immaculate Conception (Montclair, NJ).
