Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA) and the host Ringgold Rams (Monongahela, PA), saw Southmoreland's basketball squad overcome Ringgold by a tally of 68-56.

With the victory, Southmoreland improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Scotties travel to California (Coal Center, PA) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 27. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. California won 73-71 in their recent non-league challenge against Frazier (Perryopolis, PA)
