The Piedmont Panthers basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Covenant Day Lions to 44 in the Panthers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Stanly for a non-league contest on Monday, December 26. Piedmont will battle a Comets team coming off a 64-37 non-league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Comets record now stands at 10-0.

The Lions (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Albemarle edged Christ the King (Huntersville, NC), 65-31, in a non-league contest.
