In Friday's non-league match, the host Valiant Cross Academy Warriors basketball team scored a good 63-55 triumph over the Banks Academy Jets.

The Warriors (8-2) will now prepare for their outing against Glenwood (Phenix City, AL). The Gators go into the AISA AAA Region 1 outing with a 10-5 record.

The Jets now hold a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Evangel Christian for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 28.
