New Jersey High School Basketball - South River holds off Highland Park
December 22, 2023: South River, NJ 08882 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South River Rams (South River, NJ) and the visiting Highland Park Owls (Highland Park, NJ), saw South River's basketball squad hold off Highland Park by a tally of 41-37.
With the victory, South River improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Rams host Dunellen (Dunellen, NJ) to confront the Destroyers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Destroyers come into the challenge with a record of 3-0.
Next up, the Owls confront the Middlesex Bluejays (Middlesex, NJ) in a Greater Middlesex - Blue challenge, on Wednesday, December 27. Highland Park will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 45-37 non-league win over Perth Amboy (Perth Amboy, NJ).
