Illinois High School Basketball - Sterling can't hold off Naperville Central
December 22, 2023: Sterling, IL 61081 The Naperville Central Redhawks basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host Sterling Golden Warriors to 50 in the Redhawks non-league victory on Friday.
The Redhawks now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Barrington for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 26. Naperville Central will battle a Fillies/Broncos team coming off a 44-31 league loss to Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL). The Fillies/Broncos record now stands at 8-5.
The Golden Warriors (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Freeport (Freeport, IL). The Pretzels come into the non-league contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Freeport edged Rockford East (Rockford, IL), 50-34, in a league contest.
