Mississippi High School Basketball - West Marion fells Columbia
December 23, 2022: Foxworth, MS 39483 West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS), 47-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, West Marion upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Trojans host Our Lady Academy (Bay St. Louis, MS) to clash with the Crescents in a 3A Region 8 bout on Friday, January 13. The Crescents go into the bout with a record of 0-12.
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies (Brooklyn, MS) in a 4A Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Columbia will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Aggies come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 65-30 non-league loss to D'Iberville (D'Iberville, MS).
