Texas High School Basketball - Wagner overwhelms Veterans Memorial

The Wagner Thunderbirds basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting Veterans Memorial Patriots to 18 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Tuesday.

The Thunderbirds now possess a 21-0 record. They play next when they travel to Smithson Valley for a 5A Region IV District 26 game on Friday, January 2. Wagner will confront a Rangers team coming off a 48-45 league loss to New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, Veterans Memorial falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Incarnate Word (San Antonio, TX) to confront the Shamrocks in a non-league outing on Wednesday, December 31. The Shamrocks come into the outing with a record of 4-15.
