Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) and the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), saw R-S Central's basketball squad knock off Draughn by a count of 66-53.

With the victory, R-S Central upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Enka (Enka, NC) to play the Jets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 27. The Jets come into the challenge with a record of 9-1. Enka won 73-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)
