North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashbrook knocked off by Shelby

The Shelby Golden Lions basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Ashbrook Greenwave to 51 in the Golden Lions non-league triumph on Monday.

The Golden Lions now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Freedom for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 27. Shelby will meet a Patriots team coming off a 64-55 non-league win over Rising Stars Prep Academy (Statesville, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 8-2.

The Greenwave (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rising Stars Prep Academy (Statesville, NC). The Stars enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Rising Stars Prep Academy was outscored by Freedom (Morganton, NC), 64-55, in a non-league contest.
