December 26, 2024: Newark, AR 72562 Jonesboro Hurricane (Jonesboro, AR) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Cedar Ridge Timberwolves (Newark, AR), 67-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Jonesboro advances its record to 13-0 on the year. The Hurricane travel to Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes (Carrollton, TX) to face the Storm in a non-league match on Friday, December 27. The Storm enter the match with a record of 8-6. Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes lost 65-64 in their recent non-league match against Da Vinci (El Paso, TX)
The Timberwolves now own a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marshall for a 2A Region 2 match on Tuesday, January 7. Cedar Ridge will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 57-56 league loss to Sloan-Hendrix (Imboden, AR). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-7.
