Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL), 36-35 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Palatine upgrades its record to 7-4 on the year. The Pirates travel to Metamora (Metamora, IL) to face the Redbirds in a non-league match on Friday, December 27. The Redbirds enter the match with a record of 10-2. Metamora won 69-66 in their recent non-league match against Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL)

The Mustangs now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Schaumburg for a non-league match on Friday, January 3.
