The Pope John Paul II Knights (Hendersonville, TN) basketball crushed the host Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN), 74-49 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Knights now possess a 13-1 record. They play next when they travel to McAdory for a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. Pope John Paul II will play a Yellowjackets team coming off a 77-75 non-league win over Battle Ground Academy (Franklin, TN). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 11-8.

With the loss, Independence falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to The Webb School (Bell Buckle, TN) to play the Feet in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 28.
