Illinois High School Basketball - Eureka crushes Normal University
December 26, 2024: Eureka, IL 61530 The Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL), 49-26 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop McNamara for a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. Eureka will play a Fightin' Irish team coming off a 41-29 non-league win over St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Fightin' Irish record now stands at 10-4.
With the loss, Normal University falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village, IL) to play the Grenadiers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. The Grenadiers go into the bout with a record of 1-14. Elk Grove lost 48-42 in their recent non-league bout against Glenbard North (Carol Stream, IL)
