December 9, 2024: Normal, IL 61761 The Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL) basketball were winner over the host Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL), 51-38 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Dragons now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Washington for a Mid-Illini bout on Tuesday, December 10. Pekin will play a Panthers team coming off a 59-36 league win over Metamora (Metamora, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 8-0.
With the loss, Normal University falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 12. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Prairie Central lost 46-39 in their recent non-league bout against Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL)
