Illinois High School Basketball - Massac County crushes Edwards County
Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Edwards County Lions (Albion, IL), 66-42 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Massac County upgrades its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Herrin (Herrin, IL) to play the Tigers in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio bout on Tuesday, January 4. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 4-4. Herrin won 63-22 in their recent non-league bout against Gallatin County (Junction, IL)
Next up, the Lions play the Fairfield Mules (Fairfield, IL) in a Black Diamond - East bout, on Tuesday, January 4. Edwards County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Mules come into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 49-33 non-league win over Anna-Jonesboro (Anna, IL).
