December 27, 2022: Red Bud, IL 62278 The Goreville Blackcats basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the host Red Bud Musketeers to 51 in the Blackcats non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Blackcats now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sparta for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 28. Goreville will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 70-63 non-league win over Christopher (Christopher, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-1.
The Musketeers (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Johnston City (Johnston City, IL). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Johnston City prevailed over New Athens (New Athens, IL), 65-55, in a non-league contest.
