Illinois High School Basketball - Red Bud nips Johnston City
December 29, 2022: Red Bud, IL 62278 Red Bud Musketeers (Red Bud, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL), 56-55 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Red Bud upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Musketeers host Okawville (Okawville, IL) to play the Rockets in a Cahokia - Illinois bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 1-9. Okawville lost 53-48 in their recent non-league bout against Roxana (Roxana, IL)
Next up, the Indians play the Galatia Bearcats (Galatia, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Johnston City will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 61-52 league loss to Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (Norris City, IL).
