The Mater Dei Knights (Breese, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Wesclin Warriors (Trenton, IL), 48-44 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Knights (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Mascoutah was tipped by Triad (Troy, IL), 47-33, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Metro-East Lutheran for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 27. Wesclin will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 68-34 league loss to Christ Our Rock Lutheran (Centralia, IL). The Knights record now stands at 2-5.
