The Mater Dei Knights basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights to 53 in the Knights non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Knights now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Christian Brothers for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Mater Dei will meet a Cadets team coming off a 52-38 non-league win over Wesclin (Trenton, IL). The Cadets record now stands at 8-4.

The Knights (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL). The Griffins enter the Prairie State contest with a 6-6 record.
