South Bend Washington Panthers (South Bend, IN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Portage Indians (Portage, IN), 59-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Bend Washington upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Warsaw (Warsaw, IN) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Warsaw lost 59-45 in their recent non-league bout against Harrison (West Lafayette, IN)
